Vitamins

Its are essential accessory food factors necessary for complete normal metabolism of the energy yielding constituents of the diet and are a must for normal body growth and development. Normal balanced diet usually contains  adequate amounts of various vitamins for normal body functions. However excess of vitamins are needed for growing children , pregnant and lactating  females and in conditions where metabolic are increased.

Classification of Vitamins

It has two classification .

  • Fat Soluble
  • Water Soluble
Fat Soluble are A,D,E

Water Soluble are  Vit. B-Complex and Vit. C.

It is a fat soluble . it plays a critical role in healthy vision , skin and neurological.
It is a powerful antioxidant is involved in reducing inflammation through
free  radical damage.
